I first heard of the Alpha course after I joined
New Life Church in August 2008. I had dipped
in and out of Christianity all my life, but didn't
really understand what it was all about. I had
been through a pretty traumatic couple of years
and felt lost, unfulfilled and had become someone I did not like.
I decided to give the Alpha course
a go as I hoped it would give me some answers to the questions I had and give me some stability and security in my life. I am so pleased I decided to go for it, as I made some really good friends and it has also helped me to change into a better person and make sense of my life!

The second time an Alpha leaflet came through my door, I knew I couldn't continue to ignore it. After experiencing two emotional life changing events, I had hit an all time low and was searching for answers and friendship which is exactly what I found on the Alpha course.

My husband and I attended the Invitation Meal,where we found the friendliest approachable, unassuming people, who went out of their way to make us feel really welcome. We decided to return the following week; we completed the
course and even went on to attend Alpha Plus a few months later.

The people I met and the opportunity to ask questions, both in small groups and privately was invaluable. I haven't looked back, it has changed my life and I encourage you to give
it a try, whatever stage you are at in your life, I am sure you won't regret it!

I went to the Alpha Invitation Meal with my wife last year, for moral support, but found myself returning week after week! The food is great and the people are even better, very vwelcoming and friendly. The talks and testimonies are personal and relevant and the small group work is a great opportunity to discuss anything in a relaxed, informal setting.
I came to the course with very little experience of the Christian faith, but with an open mind and have been iand have been informed and inspired.
