My son invited me to church where I heard about the Alpha course.
I went along to the Invitation Meal and was so impressed with the
friendship of the people that I decided to join the course and I've
never looked back. As a lifelong Congletonian and now a pensioner,
I can honestly say that it's never too late to discover the

Last year I was made homeless following a time of instability and
distress in my life. Eventually, I was given a new home in
Congleton. I received help from Valley Debt Advice, a service
offered by New Life Church and it was there that I heard about
Alpha. I needed answers to many questions, so I came on Alpha to
ask them. My Alpha course was brilliant. The meals were lovely and
I felt free to express my opinions and ask any questions at all in a
warm and welcoming environment. I met new friends and I am now a
Christian. I am living a new life, and feel very positive and excited
about the future. So do give Alpha a try. It makes you think!

Having seen the power of God moving in my wife's life over the last 2
years and the power of the Christian faith in many of her friends, I
found myself asking questions. My wife suggested I attended the
next Alpha course as this would help me find in my own way the
answers to many of my questions about Christianity. WOW is the
only way I can describe my journey exploring Christianity on the
Alpha course.
