The Persecuted Church

New Life Church supports the work of a number of key agencies who are at work serving persecuted Christians in many countries around the world.

Millions of Christians face persecution because of their faith in Christ and we are encouraged to pray consistently and effectively for God's people in these countries. Christians facing such persecution are strengthened by knowing they have not been forgotten or forsaken by the family of God.

- Over 250 Million Christians worldwide suffer persecution because of their faith 
- Two thirds of the world's population live where the gospel is restricted 
- Every 3.5 minutes a Christian will die for their beliefs - that's 400 people per day!

Praying for Persecuted Christians
Helpful Prayer pointers are highlighted below and have come from the Persecuted Church around the world. Notice our brothers and sisters do not ask God for immediate rescue from their suffering. Instead they ask for -

- Strength to endure their appointed suffering 
- Boldness to witness to fellow prisoners and to their tormentors 
- God's protection for their families 
- Grace to forgive their oppressors 
- Deliverance of their nations from spiritual bondage 
- God to open the doors for religious freedom 
- Wisdom for their countries leaders 
- God to raise up church leaders of great integrity 
- Unity in the church and warm fellowship among the believers
