CHILDREN’S PRAYER SPACE
The Children’s Ministry Team at New Life Church set up a Prayer Space for children in the Prayer Room. From Friday 20th November to Monday 23rd November 2015, children from Friday’s Fab, Extreme in Sunday’s Cool and Growing Through had the opportunity to spend time in the Prayer Space.
Some examples of the various stations set up in the Prayer Space

Praying for the world as God loves every single person in the world. The children put paint hand prints around a picture of the world and prayed for our world.

The children spent time in a cosy corner with blankets, teddies and heart shaped cushions and looked in a mirror which had lots of verses from the Bible about what God thinks about them.

Giving our fears and worries to God as he says to ‘Give our worries to God as he cares for us.’ The children blew bubbles as they told God about their fears and worries. One child said: As the bubbles went into the air it reminded me that God takes away my fears.
We also welcomed children from Marton School’s Ethos Group into the Prayer Space on Monday morning so they could gather ideas for their permanent prayer space at school.
The theme of the Prayer Space was: Ephesians 4:18 ‘And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep his love is.’

Eating a heart sweet: as the children sucked a heart shaped sweet they spent time with God thinking about His love for them.

Glory jar….the children shook the jar full of water and glitter and spent time chatting to God and listening to Him.
