Connecting with our local schools

- Educating and bringing knowledge,
- Providing what is needed when it is needed and
- Offering support, facilities and resources
We employ 2 full-time staff and 3 part time staff who work with children and young people in our local primary and high schools. In addition, we have a team of volunteers who play a major part in the work with children and young people both inside and outside school hours.
We work in partnership with other Churches in the town and in partnership with Life Link and the Spire Trust agency in carrying out some of our schools work
Primary Schools
The type of services and support we offer to primary schools are:
- Regular assemblies
- Mentoring and getting alongside RE / Community related classes
- Friday’s fab youth group
- Bible Explorer lessons
- Open the Book
- Messy Church

High Schools
The type of services and support we offer to high schools are:
- “Its your move” transition lessons
- Regular assemblies
- Mentoring and assisting with reading and basic life skills
- RE / Community related classes
- Organising and delivering an agreed community/humanity agenda for a complete day – which is given over for a given class year (STOP days)
- Christian Union
- Support of staff
- School chaplains
