Our Aim
One of the objectives of New Life Church is the relief of poverty and we seek to do this in a variety of ways including the provision of good quality furniture and white goods for the many individuals and families who are in destitute situations for a variety of reasons. We operate primarily in and around the Congleton area and within Cheshire East.
Furniture and White Goods Project
New Life Church works in conjunction with Crossroads Community Partnership who are currently based in a warehouse at Bosley crossroads.
New Life Church receives and authorises the referrals which are then passed to the team at the warehouse led by Councillor Peter Broom.
The warehouse then arranges the collections and deliveries. Smaller items, eg toasters and microwaves can be dropped off personally at the Church centre on West Road.
Referrals / Requests for help
Referrals and requests for furniture and white goods come through statutory and voluntary agencies eg Social Services, Mental Health Team, Children in Need Team, Housing Options, Adullum Homes and Plus Dane Housing.
Self referrals are also considered and where appropriate we do try to evaluate the need through the church’s Family Support Workers.

Donations/Collections
Members of the public generously donate furniture, white goods and carpets which must be clean and of good quality and in respect of white goods, in good working order.
Electrical goods are always checked and PAT tested at the warehouse.
Most donations are initially handled over the telephone at the Church Centre (01260 297961) but can be emailed at mail@nlchurch.org.uk.
We then refer on to the warehouse who contact the donor to arrange a convenient time and date for collection
Special thanks
The Church is extremely thankful for the help and support from the warehouse who provide “Van and Man” and of course storage.
We are also very grateful for the financial support provided by The John Holford Charity in respect of white goods.
